Diet and exercise are important to a healthy lifestyle. If you want to be healthy you should drink lots of water and exercise as often as possible. Keep track of what you are eating in a journal. Also keep track of how much exercise activity you are doing. Next to each entry you should write the number of calories consumed or expended. So next to each food item that you have eaten write the number of calories and next to each exercise session for the day write the approximate number of calories that were burned.
To determine the number of calories that are in food use a calorie database. There are many calorie databases available on the web. Simply go to Google and type in calorie database or calorie counter and you will get a large list of sites that have calorie databases. A good calorie database will have ever food including branded packaged foods and the number of calories per serving. Simply search for the food you have eaten and get the number of calories for the serving size that you had. Take this number and record it next to each meal in your journal.
To determine the number of calories that you have burned in exercise use an exercise calorie calculator. A good exercise calorie calculator will allow you to put in your weight and the exercise and the number of minutes you performed that exercise and then it will calculate the number of calories that were burned.
